Hello,
we are currently assembling our Metod system and need to go back to Ikea on Monday to pick up the remaining parts. Now I have a problem with the front panel for our semi-integrated dishwasher (Neff).
I don’t need a variable hinge for this front, just the panel that is directly screwed onto the dishwasher door.
At first, I wanted to use a standard door or side panel, but the problem is that all doors are exactly 60cm (24 inches) wide. I need the front panel for the dishwasher to be 59cm (23 inches) wide.
A longer panel would be no problem—I could cut it down and mount it so the cut edge is at the bottom. But trimming it from the side would look very bad.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Bye,
Micha

Hello,
the METOD door is 59.7 cm (23.5 inches) wide. If the dishwasher door is 59 cm (23.2 inches) wide, the front will protrude by 3.5 mm (0.14 inches) on each side. This is normal. If you have installed the dishwasher so tightly that there is only space for 59 cm (23.2 inches), then your only options are to shift the base cabinets, adjust the door with an unattractive cut edge, or have a custom front made by a third party in a completely different color and consider this a design feature.
Please let us know how you ultimately solved the problem and how the height worked out.

Until just a moment ago, I was racking my brain trying to solve the problem with the dishwasher. I am really satisfied with the result and even a little proud of it.

Thanks for the tips!
I will use a door measuring 60cm x 60cm (24 inches x 24 inches) and see how it fits...

Thanks again and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Here is a picture – as you can see, 60x60cm (24x24 inches) fits perfectly!

And how will you close the gap at the bottom?
