Hello,
we are currently assembling our Metod system and need to go back to Ikea on Monday to pick up the remaining parts. Now I have a problem with the front panel for our semi-integrated dishwasher (Neff).
I don’t need a variable hinge for this front, just the panel that is directly screwed onto the dishwasher door.
At first, I wanted to use a standard door or side panel, but the problem is that all doors are exactly 60cm (24 inches) wide. I need the front panel for the dishwasher to be 59cm (23 inches) wide.
A longer panel would be no problem—I could cut it down and mount it so the cut edge is at the bottom. But trimming it from the side would look very bad.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Bye,
Micha

It would be ideal for me if the dishwasher sits flush at the bottom with the cabinet carcasses. Therefore, the Vario hinge for XXL or the Ikea sliding hinges would likely have been a suitable choice on their own.

Or put together something like that – of course, neat and maybe colorful or white.

I hope you have sealed the gap above the cover plate. Otherwise, there is a risk that moisture from the dishwasher could damage the countertop and the cabinets below, causing them to deteriorate.

But the lower edge of the dishwasher front does not align with those of the adjacent cabinets. As long as you like it that way.
