I am currently assembling an Ikea Platsa wardrobe and have noticed several common pitfalls that can make the process unnecessarily difficult. I’m interested to know if you have any experience with typical challenges when putting together PLATSA, so I can avoid them from the start.
In particular, I’m curious about mistakes during preparation, connecting the modules, or attaching the unit to the wall. Are there any construction or planning details that are often overlooked beforehand? What experiences have you had to prevent errors right from the beginning?

Additionally, a note on wall mounting: For PLATSA, secure attachment to the wall is essential for safety, especially if there are children in the household. Use tested wall plugs appropriate for the wall type and make sure to install the brackets perfectly level. In particular, when dealing with drywall, it is important to use special hollow wall anchors.

Connecting the individual units is the biggest challenge for me, especially since the instructions are somewhat unclear in certain parts.
I will definitely make sure to insert the screws loosely at first and only tighten them fully at the end.
