Yes, for warming plates so guests won’t complain about cold plates during the perfect dinner.

In my experience, not really, especially if you already have two ovens (a combination steam oven plus a regular oven). That’s why we chose two full-height units, which also looks more balanced and offers greater flexibility when baking. (@Myrna_Loy By the way, they do get used regularly. However, I can imagine it might be different for someone who isn’t very into baking. 😉)

Regarding the price, I think it’s reasonable compared to our kitchen. Beyond that, the kitchen will work, but if changes to the floor plan are still possible, there’s definitely potential to get more out of it. From personal experience, I know how difficult it is to find a kitchen consultant who develops original ideas independently of the given floor plan. That seems to be just as risky as visiting the architect/project manager with a finalized floor plan, where they simply copy it instead of developing creative solutions. Unfortunately. The only problem is that realistically, no one will plan a kitchen in a completely blank space, even though that would actually make sense to avoid preconceptions based on the architect’s sketch. (After visiting two kitchen studios, we switched to using a ‘blank sketch’ without any kitchen layout as a starting point. It worked somewhat well.)

Thank you for your feedback. Could you please explain why you call it a show kitchen?

What I meant is that your design looks nice, but it’s hard to tell whether the price is reasonable for the intended and planned functionality. It’s like a catalog image. Everything included is modern, good quality, and expensive, but you don’t mention any practical considerations behind the cabinet layout and the chosen floor plan. Therefore, it’s not possible to say if it will work well for your needs when cooking and if the price for the cabinetry is justified.

If there’s nothing else to complain about ... 😉

I would also recommend you to visit the other forum and fill out the questionnaire there.

In principle, a Next of this size with a ceramic countertop can be within the expected price range. However, I’m missing some details:

- Cabinet height and total worktop height (plus your heights)
- Total number of pull-outs. I assume you have some internal pull-outs? I remember that these tall pull-outs, especially the lower ones, have a very large internal dimension, which otherwise would be wasted storage space
- For the tall cabinets at the bottom: internal pull-outs and drawers, or shelves? What kind of cabinets are those on the left and right?
- The 40cm (16 inches) cabinet in the middle, is that a pull-out pantry or space tower?
- What kind of 30cm (12 inches) cabinet is to the left of the cooktop? A pull-out pantry?
- Where is the dishwasher located?

About the layout:
I find the oven, etc., quite far from the hob. For me, both should be closer together.
Could you please share the ground floor plan? Is this a closed kitchen? Is the floor plan still flexible or fixed?

Hello Ysop,

Attached is the floor plan. All areas marked in yellow are walls to be removed, and everything marked in red will be newly added. This is a renovation, and we are partly limited in the changes we can make. I will respond to your other questions later this evening.

Floor plan of a house: terrace on the left, kitchen, dining/living area, hallway, staircase, WC.

If you’re planning a matte black kitchen costing 27,000 euros (about $28,800) for three children without any concerns, I would love to send my boys to you for a parenting break. 🙂 Yesterday, someone dented our refrigerator with a skateboard.
