Hello everyone,
we are currently in the consultation and quotation process with Kuechenheld.
Has anyone here had any experience with an online-only kitchen studio?
How does the price level compare to a traditional kitchen showroom? How satisfied were you with the consultation, handling, and implementation?

Well, you can go through several kitchen layouts without actually committing to buying a specific kitchen. This way, you already have an idea of where each cabinet and appliance will go without deciding in detail whether you want two, three, or four drawers, or whether the large cooking pot should go in the pantry cabinet or under the freezer. The stove connection, sink, dishwasher, and refrigerator should be fixed within about ±1 meter (3 feet). After that, you can finalize the plan.
Distribute electrical outlets at countertop height reasonably well, as you can always branch off a necessary outlet from those later.

Yes, we have already planned everything so far and designed the layout with the IKEA planner to fit our ideas into the floor plan. However, we have not yet decided where to buy the kitchen. For the detailed construction planning session, which is scheduled for the week after next, we have been asked to provide the kitchen design. Now we’re starting to get a bit worried that we might make some mistakes. We already know exactly where we want the appliances, but since we have never had a kitchen island before, we’re not sure if there’s anything special to consider with the stove on it. But it should be fine.

A proper electrical connection is needed, coming up from the floor... our general contractor wanted the electrical plan for the kitchen from the specialist for detailed planning. You might even have to buy the kitchen a year before moving in 😉
For us, this also happened roughly one year before the planned move-in date, but it was less about planning the electrical and plumbing connections and more about the possibility of adapting the house, at least in part, to fit the kitchen. For example, there is now a niche that fits the desired standard cabinets down to the centimeter. Without the proper kitchen planning, we probably would have been one or two centimeters short, which wouldn’t have been a disaster but would have meant a cabinet that was about 10cm (4 inches) narrower and, correspondingly, a wider filler panel.
