Dachshund9011 May 2023 11:37Hello everyone,
Following advice from our architect, we have started considering our kitchen layout, since we still have the option to move walls, windows, or doors if it helps optimize the kitchen.
Attached is a first draft of the kitchen plan, which I have roughly sketched. You will also find pictures showing the approximate style and cabinet fronts we are aiming for. According to the seller, the price will be around €13,500. Some additional information is included in the image. If you need any more details, please feel free to ask.
What do you think about the Nolte Manhattan kitchen in general? How do you find the overall layout? Does the offer seem reasonable to you? Do you have any suggestions for improvements?
Thank you very much and best regards

Schorsch_baut11 May 2023 11:58I find the two-tone gray really unattractive, as if the cabinet fronts don’t match the carcass. I also find searching for a kitchen extremely frustrating — it feels non-transparent, expensive, and in the end, it’s all just coated particleboard costing tens of thousands of euros. I’m glad when this whole topic is finally finished. We looked at a similar kitchen from Schüller, which we (or rather the homeowner) are currently favoring. Now we’re stuck on the issue of the countertop.

I completely agree with you, it’s very unclear how money is made in this industry.
Which GRAY do you mean? The fronts all have the wood look in volcanic oak, as do the doors of the wall cabinets. Or what are you referring to?

Schorsch_baut11 May 2023 12:10The recesses between the blocks and the base appear gray.

Do you think this price is fair? Do you see any suggestions for improvement?A price like this isn’t really an offer, it’s just a figure. To properly evaluate an offer, the appliances need to be listed with their specific model numbers and individual prices. Personally, I have never received an offer where the prices were broken down like that. So €13,500 (approximately $14,900) might be a great deal, but it could also be expensive for you. Almost everything depends on the electrical appliances.
