@Bookstar
Did you also experience issues with defrosting before the update?

Your houses are different, so you can’t directly compare them 1:1.

Yes, the system has always reported various errors, such as high-pressure faults, defrost errors, hot gas domestic hot water issues, and so on.

It has developed leaks several times, all pressure sensors have been replaced, it has been recharged with refrigerant three times, and I believe there have been five software updates so far. Oh, and the entire control board has already been replaced as well.

Oh dear, you’re really having bad luck with that part.

When someone silently reads along here, I am always grateful for my gas boiler 🙂

Well, in principle, you have to have the option to install a gas heating system without having to bury a gas tank on your property.

Our residential area was planned without a gas connection. At least one of the three households with gas here didn’t check the development plan (the general contractor didn’t either), and now they have a fancy gas tank in their garden.

As always, when it works, it’s great; when it doesn’t, it’s a pain.

I have decided that next winter I will heat with the fireplace in the evenings instead of completely turning off the heat pump for 2.5 months, or relying solely on the fireplace. Not because I was cold, but because the heat pump hardly used any energy at 8–10°C (46–50°F) just 1–2 days before Christmas.
