For my planned single-family house, I am looking for a front door manufacturer that installs motorized locks directly from the factory—ideally ones from Fuhr. Since I need to be very budget-conscious, a uPVC door would be best. As some of you have already installed motorized locks, I am hoping to get constructive advice from you because it is quite difficult to find information online.

The locking does not happen by motor but mechanically; only the automatic unlocking requires a motor. That’s only a partial understanding of the situation.
There are locks that engage mechanically, where the latch and the swing hook automatically catch when closing. This is the more basic and, as you hinted, less expensive method.
In the type we have and that I described, a motor fully drives the bolts and swing hooks into the locking position. When opening, the mechanism is released mechanically by applying pressure to the catch or turning a knob.

It’s actually the other way around. The self-locking locks I know are all mechanical; the motorized function only comes into play when an automatic opener is required.

They offer self-locking mechanical locks; locking here happens without electrical components.
In addition, there are motorized locks where an so-called A-opener motorically handles unlocking the lock.
Unfortunately, Innotherm does not clarify whether the opening and/or closing is motorized.
From what I know, it is standard that the opening is motorized; as I mentioned before, fully motorized locks also exist!

...There is no need to clarify this further, as I have already confirmed that I have a fully motorized lock from Innotherm installed in the door. Why spend so much time on this and unsettle the original poster when I have already clearly stated everything?
