Hello everyone!
For my planned single-family house, I am looking for a front door manufacturer that installs motorized locks directly from the factory—ideally ones from Fuhr. Since I need to be very budget-conscious, a uPVC door would be best. As some of you have already installed motorized locks, I am hoping to get constructive advice from you because it is quite difficult to find information online.
Best regards,
Enrico

I don’t remember Hörmann’s price. However, I believe the standard doors with prices can be found in the online catalog.

Hello everyone!
For my planned detached house, I am looking for a manufacturer of front doors that installs motorized locks factory-fitted – ideally ones from Fuhr.
Since I need to watch the price closely, a plastic door would be best.
As some of you have already installed motorized locks, I’m hoping for some constructive tips, as it’s quite difficult to find information online.

EnricoHello Baumeister,
I was also looking for a door with a motorized lock and fingerprint recognition. Prices were usually from around 6,000 euros up to 7,000 euros or more.
Only Inotherm could offer a significantly lower price. They assemble the door components in Slovenia but source high-quality parts from well-known manufacturers in the field. I’ve had the door for almost a year now and would buy it again.
The company is eager to grow and very committed – also regarding service.

...every door manufacturer installs an electric strike lock in their doors; not always from Fuhr, as each manufacturer has their own approach.
It is important to clarify what requirements the door must meet during daytime and nighttime operation.
An electric strike lock alone is not enough; it needs to be controlled or operated somehow.

The motorized lock should be controlled by a fingerprint sensor, ideally integrated into the knob or handle bar. I can’t think of any special requirements regarding time of day or similar factors at the moment.
