Hello everyone,
I am currently working on repairing some Ikea Hemnes furniture pieces, mainly dressers and nightstands. I have noticed that the included connectors and screws are sometimes no longer sufficient for repairs or are damaged. Therefore, my specific question is: Which repair kits are currently available for Ikea Hemnes furniture, especially for the most common models like the Hemnes dresser or Hemnes nightstand?
I am interested not only in connection kits but also in replacement parts such as screws, wooden dowels, furniture knobs, or possibly special ferrule or pin connectors used by Ikea.
If anyone has experience with original or third-party repair solutions, I would appreciate any advice, particularly regarding the durability of these repairs and whether Ikea offers official kits.
Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Maybe you could put together your own kit, like a small "Hemnes Survival Kit" for repairs? That is usually the most practical approach. Additionally:
- It is advisable to replace the screws with cross-head screws featuring fine threads to ensure a secure hold in solid wood.
- When using dowels, it is important to select exactly the right length (usually 30-40mm (1.2-1.6 inches) for dressers); otherwise, the joint may be too weak or the wood could split.
- When repairing drawer sides, the stability of the frame is crucial—not just the visual attachment of the front panel.
- For corroded screws, stainless steel or galvanized options should be chosen to prevent future rust.
Before purchasing, I would like to know: Are you using a specific tool set, or are you specifically looking for a repair kit that includes suitable drill bits and glue? That would help with the recommendation.
