Hello everyone,
I am currently planning to better organize my Ikea Pax wardrobe and am specifically looking for the best matching accessories from the Komplement series. I am particularly interested in which Komplement accessories integrate best with Pax to make more efficient use of storage space while increasing functionality.
I am especially looking for practical tips on the different shelves, drawers, clothes rails, as well as smaller accessories like compartments or dividers. Do you have any experience with which parts not only fit well but also make real sense for everyday use?
It would also be helpful to know if there are common issues to watch out for during assembly or handling of Komplement parts.
Thanks in advance for your opinions and suggestions!

I am especially interested in practical tips regarding the various shelves, drawers, clothes rails, as well as the smaller accessories like compartments or dividers.I find it interesting that many people believe you have to fully commit to the classic accessories. But honestly: Are the Komplement components really as good as Ikea claims? In my opinion, much of the accessories, especially for PAX, are mostly standard products that don’t bring much innovation.
From my experience, regular shelves are the most flexible. Drawers, on the other hand, often feel inconvenient because they are either too shallow or not sturdy enough.
And what about the narrow compartments? I don’t always see the point, especially if you plan for more hanging storage. My view is that it’s better not to rely entirely on the full Komplement range, but rather to be more creative yourself and only choose what truly fits your individual needs.

I think that some accessories, especially for PAX, are mostly standard items that don’t bring much innovation.I can definitely relate to that from my experience. At first, I also had high expectations for the Komplement series, mainly because of its versatility. But after assembling it, I was often a bit disappointed that some accessories didn’t feel as stable or well thought out as I had hoped.
Still, I believe that the shelves and clothes rails for PAX always provide a solid foundation. They are easy to combine, even if you want to add more later.
What I installed in our PAX units were mainly the pull-out drawers and small compartments for accessories, because those make daily dressing and undressing easier. However, you need to be careful about the depth you choose to ensure everything fits well.
Maybe you could be more specific: What exactly are your storage needs? That might help to recommend the right components more precisely.

It would also be helpful to know if there are any typical issues when assembling or handling complement parts that one should watch out for.Hey, I recently put together a PAX variant with complement parts myself, and the assembly went pretty smoothly as long as you carefully follow the instructions.
A quick tip: Sometimes the drawer rails can be a bit stiff. It’s worth aligning them precisely before insertion and lightly oiling them if necessary.
What I really liked were the shelves with the anti-slip coating – these are great if you want to store shoes or bags, for example.
And if you need a bit of organization, the compartment dividers are quite handy. They fit perfectly on the wider shelves and add structure without taking up too much storage space.
I would definitely recommend installing a few clothes rails as well, so you can switch flexibly between hanging and folding. It works great and makes the wardrobe very versatile.
Nufi57, if you want to hang a lot of clothes, use the long closet rods.
For shirts and sweaters, the pull-out drawers are ideal.
Shelf dividers are great for underwear and socks.
Fixed shelves fit well everywhere and can be used flexibly.
Installation: Do not tighten the screws too much, or the material may crack.
