Hello everyone,
I am currently assembling my Ikea Pax wardrobe and looking for suitable lighting solutions. I am particularly interested in options that are easy to install, possibly without extensive wiring. It is important to me that the lighting illuminates the interior well, making even dark corners visible.
What lighting solutions are available for the Ikea Pax wardrobe? It would be great if you could also cover different types, such as LED strips, spotlights, or complete systems from Ikea or third-party suppliers. Are there differences in power supply (battery vs. mains power), and how about the installation?
I look forward to your experiences and recommendations!

For me, it’s important that the lighting illuminates the interior well to make even dark corners visible. That makes a lot of sense. In my experience, it’s especially worth focusing on LED strips with high brightness.

Motion sensor integrated lighting: very practical if you want the light to turn on automatically.I agree with that. Motion sensors are usually battery-powered and save energy, plus you don’t have to switch the light on and off manually.
Which solution you choose also depends on how often you use the cabinet and how much effort you want to invest in installation.
Another option is dimmability, especially if you want to adjust the light intensity.
I recommend simple, self-adhesive LED light strips with a battery and USB charging. They are flexible, bright enough, and don’t require any wiring.
For a more permanent solution, you should use spotlights connected to the mains, but the installation is more complex. Motion sensors are a great option if you use the closet frequently.
