I would like to start a discussion on the topic: What has been your experience with Pax sliding doors? Specifically, I am interested in aspects such as installation, build quality, and everyday usability, especially with long-term use. I am considering installing various Pax sliding doors in my home and want to know if there are any particular things I should pay attention to – for example, regarding the tracks, the door materials, or customization options. It would also be helpful to learn how durable the doors are and if there are common issues one should be aware of. So, who has practical experience with Pax sliding doors and can share it with me?

That is certainly hard to deny, but it is also important to be more relaxed and patient, especially if you are not very experienced with DIY. Many issues can be resolved with some practice and fine-tuning.
Try not to overstrain the doors during daily use and take your time with the annual maintenance.
One more tip: If you are unsure whether you can handle the installation yourself, get someone to help or use a professional installation service. It’s worth it, especially for the moving parts.

Those who are not very skilled in craftsmanship face a real disaster here.

So, I got Pax sliding doors and I’m really happy with them so far. Admittedly, installing the rails can be a bit tricky, but if you take your time, it works out well. The only downside is if you move the cabinet around, since the doors can sometimes catch or squeak in certain spots – in that case, a bit of oil and careful adjustment is the solution.
I can fully agree with this recommendation! A little maintenance really is key.
I like the design of Pax a lot because it often looks simple yet modern. For me, the effort was worth it – although I don’t have heavy use with children or anything like that.

A cleaning interval of at least once a year for the sliding rails is advisable to avoid problems.
