Hello everyone, I am planning to get a piece of furniture from the IKEA Brimnes series, but I am a bit uncertain about the exact differences between the various options in this series.

I am mainly interested in how the individual Brimnes dressers, beds, and cabinets differ in terms of size, layout, materials, and available additional features such as drawers, doors, or shelves.

Does anyone know the details to help me make a more informed decision? For example, differences between the Brimnes beds with and without storage boxes, or differences in the dresser regarding the number of drawers or storage capacity, and so on.

Are there also variations in the material quality or color options?

I appreciate any helpful and as detailed as possible responses!

The differences mainly lie in the layout and functions. The materials used for Brimnes are always MDF with a laminated surface.

For the dressers: more drawers mean less depth per drawer.

Beds with storage boxes offer better storage space but are more expensive and somewhat more difficult to assemble.

I find Brimnes really practical! Especially the bed with storage convinced me completely. It holds a lot, yet still doesn’t look bulky.

What I also liked: The dressers are very versatile, there’s something for every need. Whether 2 or 4 drawers, all are very sturdy. You can do it too! 😊

The Brimnes series mainly differs in features: beds with or without storage, dressers with varying numbers of drawers, and different wardrobe sizes.

I would add that functionality directly affects ergonomics and stability. For example, a bed with a storage box requires more robust base panels than a simple model.

Additionally, the drawer handles vary slightly in design between models, which can be quite important for the overall appearance if you care about design. This should not be underestimated when making a purchasing decision.
