Hello,

We are currently planning our bathroom.
I really like the IKEA Godmorgon base cabinet, both in terms of appearance and price.
However, it is somewhat difficult to find a suitable built-in washbasin because we need one without a tap hole.
Countertop basins with a wooden board or similar do not appeal to me at all.

I have now found the Villeroy & Boch Subway 3.0.

Does anyone have experience with it or know if the basin fits on the base cabinet?

Based on the external dimensions, I think it does (both 80x47cm (31.5x18.5 inches)), but I am concerned about the space underneath.

Thank you very much in advance.

We have the Subway 3.0, but in a 100cm (40 inches) width, and I just installed the base cabinet on Sunday. We chose the original from Villeroy & Boch, which cost a bit over 700 €, so naturally it was significantly more expensive than the IKEA cabinet. Just a heads-up regarding that.

There are detailed drawings available for both the Villeroy & Boch cabinet and the basin itself. For the IKEA cabinet, you will need to measure it on site, as I couldn't find any drawings. The only issue I see is that with the IKEA cabinet, there will likely always be a gap under the basin. The Villeroy & Boch base cabinet has a raised section at the top that runs under the basin, which is visually very well designed. For the 80cm (32 inches) base cabinet, this raised part is 750mm (30 inches) wide, while the overall width of the cabinet is 772mm (30.4 inches). If the IKEA cabinet really measures exactly 80cm (32 inches), then the cabinet will sit right at the outer edge, which I’m afraid won’t look good.
