Hello everyone,
We are currently in the middle of the construction phase (topping-out ceremony already done) and unsure about where to place the TV and couch. The floor plan of the ground floor looks as follows:

The main part of the garden is located above the living area. The two windows facing the garden are floor-to-ceiling and actually function as patio doors. We would use the right door as the patio door. We installed two patio doors to allow more natural light and to create a symmetrical appearance from the outside. Electrical outlets for the TV, network socket, and five power sockets are already installed in the wall—since it’s a prefabricated solid construction—where the TV (behind the stairs) is marked. On the left, there is also a narrow floor-to-ceiling window.
Now the question is whether to keep this arrangement or to place the TV in the upper left corner and position the couch opposite it instead. We have sketched the following variants:
Original option with corner sofa:

Advantages:
Electrical outlets are already installed in the correct spot in the wall.
View from the sofa into the room is possible.
The longer side of the sofa allows a good view of the TV.
Disadvantages:
The sofa blocks one patio door.
Original option with two sofas:

Advantages:
Electrical outlets are already installed in the correct spot in the wall.
View from the sofa into the room is possible.
The free corner could be used for something else (e.g., a future speaker).
Disadvantages:
The sofa blocks one patio door.
New arrangement:

Advantages:
Patio door is now free.
Space behind the TV for, for example, a subwoofer with a new sound system.
Disadvantages:
New electrical channels must be installed in the corner.
No room view from the short side of the sofa.
TV must be placed in the corner.
In the end, my wife is especially bothered by the following situation (from outside, you can see the sofa in front of one of the doors) in the original option:

What is your opinion on the three options? Do you have any other ideas?
Thanks in advance for your tips and suggestions!!!

Curtains? That would bore me a lot if my husband kept darkening all the windows just because he wants to watch the 500th documentary about Tutankhamun. But I agree, everyone has to decide for themselves.A situation like that definitely calls for a second device.I have a motorized bracket like that. It’s quite convenient. However, we arranged our sofa as in the first draft, so that it covers one of the patio doors. From the outside, this isn’t visible during the day because of the curtains, and at dusk the roller shutters go down, so it can’t be seen then either.
So, I would probably leave the cables and everything as they are now. Especially the gap between two other light sources would seem disturbing to me.

Accordingly, it is given low priority in the room layout. I would never place a sofa directly in front of a window or compromise comfort in the room just for the sake of a TV.
But everyone has their own preferences...

The exterior view wouldn’t bother me now. However, I always find it a pity when such large windows are planned but you can’t actually see outside. Most floor plans have that problem. We had the sofa placed perpendicular to the window, but I’m not sure if that would work with this floor plan.
So, we slept on it once more. Neither of us are really TV binge-watchers, and in the end, the house shouldn’t be built around the TV. Personally, I wouldn’t have had an issue with the original version, but I can also understand my wife’s point. Freestanding doors do look better in the overall design. I know that a flat-screen TV usually isn’t placed in a corner, but the following option would be acceptable to me as well. As I said, following all the standard technical rules isn’t as important to us as the house as a whole. And with this version, watching a movie should be comfortable. Let’s see how long we stick with this option.
