Hello everyone,
our robot vacuum (our daughter calls it Robbie) doesn’t fit under the sofa. We’d like to fix that. It’s only about 1.5 cm (0.6 inches) that’s missing. Ideally, we want something to place under the legs, since replacing the legs is difficult due to their size and design. The round legs have a diameter of 40 mm (1.6 inches). Everything I find when searching for furniture risers or similar products only raises the height by a few millimeters. If possible, it shouldn’t be very noticeable since the sofa legs are quite close to the edge and therefore visible.
Does anyone have any ideas or advice?
Good luck

Or if you want something different, hollow out a "wood block" in the right design using a Forstner bit...

If you know someone with a lathe, have them turn a sleeve from a round aluminum material that is closed at the bottom, with a height of 1.5cm (0.6 inches), and at the top, the inner diameter fits over your legs. The length should be exactly the same as the sofa.
Thank you for the many responses.
I had almost expected that none of you would know either. We all have access to the same internet. Unfortunately, we don’t know anyone who can make something like that. So it probably only leaves swapping the feet. However, I have no idea if that is possible. The thing is really a massive piece, and just laying it on its side is not an option. If needed, I’ll have to make sure to be there next week when they disassemble the sofa to load it into the truck.

These feet aren’t exactly attractive anyway. Remove them and put something decent underneath. Easy. Unattractive, but honest. 🙂

Uncharming, but honest. 🙂I don’t think they’re that bad. To be honest, I wouldn’t know what else you could do with them.Similar topics
