Hello and good day,

Despite searching the forum, I haven’t found a clear answer, so I’m writing here to describe my situation and hope for some help.

I have an IKEA Faktum kitchen, exact year of manufacture unknown (probably between 2000 and 2005). This kitchen has several undamped full-extension drawers.

The nominal length is 530mm (21 inches), and the slides are from Blum with the designation 558.530-02.

According to an online shop, there are no retrofit dampers available for these, nor can the slides be replaced with new damped ones because Blum no longer offers slides in 530mm (21 inches) length.

Do you have any ideas on what I could do? Maybe use some kind of retrofit kit, replace the slides with those from another manufacturer, or something similar?

Attached are photos of the slides; hopefully someone can identify the model and year from them.

Best regards,
FredAC

In the past, IKEA only sold new rails based on the production years. I’m not sure if the Factum replacement service still exists. In any case, it is an expensive option.
Do the door hinges have round or square holes between the adjustment screws?
If they are round, the kitchen is too old! Soft-close mechanisms were introduced only after that!
