TuxHello everyone,
I’m about to move and we want to get a larger shared bedroom wardrobe. We really like the Pax system, especially the dark sliding doors (UGGDAL), although they probably won’t fit the budget. We have a little more than 250 cm (98 inches) available.
I have the following questions for you:
1. Are sliding door wardrobes only available in widths of 150 and 200 cm (59 and 79 inches)? Except for those with aluminum frame sliding doors (Lyngdal)? For two people, I think the 250 cm (98 inches) version is necessary; anything smaller would be too tight. Unfortunately, 300 cm (118 inches) won’t fit!
2. What do you recommend? Are hinged doors generally more durable? Do sliding doors often have problems? I imagine my girlfriend will slam the sliding doors without care, and I’m not sure how long they will last :s
3. Online shopping seems to be the cheapest option, or am I missing something?
4. Is the assembly manageable, or would it be better to invest in professional installers?
Thanks in advance...
Best regards

2. Sliding doors are not less durable. Get your girlfriend a governess. Since you said under point 1 that it should be 2.50 m (8 feet 2 inches), the decision is basically clear.
3. Shipping costs? Ultimately, it depends on whether you would need to rent a cart at the furniture store, for example, or have the items delivered. Also, PAX carcasses are currently being sold cheaply locally because the colors are changing. For example, the white color will be different.
4. That depends on your skills. But if Uggdal is too expensive, then a professional installer probably is as well.
