Hi!

I assembled a 2x1.5m (6.6x4.9 ft) Pax wardrobe and wanted to install the dampers. However, when sliding the door open, it requires noticeably more force at the moment when the pin probably comes out of the complementary guide, so it doesn’t move smoothly or softly. Closing the door works fine, though.

I’ve already received replacements, but they’re not really any better. In the showroom, these doors still open and close a bit more easily.

Does anyone have any tips, or should I just return them if I can still find the receipt?

My goal was smooth closing—not at the cost of making opening difficult!

Your opinions or advice?

Hello, if the door is difficult to release from the latch, I would first try opening and closing it about 100 times to see if it improves. If not, I would take a closer look at the mechanism, analyze the "fault," and try to fix it if possible. This would probably mean opening the fitting and filing down a part slightly. However, this could cause issues with the warranty. If you want to exchange it again, make sure to check for a different production date.
