ᐅ Old mortise lock case – is it still possible to get something like that?

MetalheadHello everyone,
I’m new here and signed up on behalf of a friend who isn’t very comfortable using forums.
The spring in his old door lock has broken. He has removed the lock case. Apparently, it’s quite an old model.
Since my friend would prefer not to replace the door and frame, I thought I’d ask here if anyone knows whether and where replacement parts can be found, or what the technical term for this type of lock is.
We would appreciate any help.
Best regards,
Florian

We recently had to replace the hinge assembly on a door over 40 years old. It’s called a door hinge or cassette. I took the removed unit to a hardware store or building supplies store. Either you’re lucky, and they have it in stock, or it has to be ordered.
We were also advised to check with local carpenters, as they often remove these cassettes when replacing doors.
