Hello dear house building forum,

We are planning to build a single-family home for 3-4 people in Lower Saxony.
We need to finalize our floor plan in 2 weeks and are still not completely satisfied with the bathroom layout on the upper floor.

We would be very grateful for any ideas!
Attached is our current draft.

Knee wall: 100cm (39 inches), roof pitch 45 degrees, red lines = 2m (6 ft 7 in) and 2.20m (7 ft 3 in)
Windows: double casement windows (not floor-to-ceiling) facing north

Next to the bathroom there is a storage room and a bedroom. We can still move the walls. The sanitary fixtures can also be freely positioned.

Our bathroom is relatively large, but it is difficult to furnish due to the sloping roof and the position of the door and windows.

What bothers us a bit in the current design is the large niche behind the shower (maybe expand the storage room?) and that the toilet is placed directly next to the bathtub.

What we definitely want to consider:
- A shelf behind the washbasin (wall recess)
- We want a larger washbasin (approx. 100x50cm (39x20 inches)), no double sink
- The shower should be at least 100x120cm (39x47 inches)

Thank you very much for your suggestions 🙂
