Hello,

I would like to place a dresser “front” under our 4.70m (15 ft 5 in) sloped ceiling and I’m struggling to find the right solution...

It should have four drawers, about 90cm (35 inches) high, and especially more than 50cm (20 inches) deep. Ideally, also in different widths. This doesn’t seem to be available on the market.

At IKEA and similar stores, dressers are usually only up to 48cm (19 inches) deep. Custom cabinetry is an option, but I’d also consider building something myself (like a top panel or similar) and I don’t want to spend around 3,000 EUR on this.

A kitchen cabinet system with the right dimensions would probably work best, but those usually have high-quality metal fittings and hardware that I don’t need for a simple bedroom dresser.

--> Does anyone know of a dresser or dresser system with 50–60cm (20–24 inches) depth and drawers?

Best regards

What about Ikea Metod, meaning the Ikea kitchen cabinets?

Then I pay a lot of money for high-quality, durable fittings and drawers just to put socks in them :-( (And I would already prefer simple wooden frames instead of aluminum.

As a private individual, you won’t find hardware cheaper than at IKEA. With Metod, you will likely be considerably more cost-effective despite the "high-quality" hardware compared to self-built or custom-made options.

Elvarli or Stuva/Fritids from Ikea offer kits with drawers over 50cm (20 inches) deep. Compared to Metod, I’m not familiar with the price. Built-in solutions don’t get cheaper than this. However, using only wood as a support rail is blunt and doesn’t slide smoothly.

Invest your savings with a carpenter for high-quality drawer runners.

System180 is highly flexible, intricately designed, and not as "tinny" as the USM classic. The price-to-performance ratio is absolutely convincing. However, if even IKEA fittings are considered "too expensive," I am at a loss.
