Hello everyone,

We are moving into a new apartment this summer, which we plan to equip with a Metod kitchen. However, since our old dishwasher broke exactly three months before the move, we are currently considering the following plan:

1) We buy an XXL fully integrated built-in dishwasher from Miele or Bosch that fits the dimensions of the METOD kitchens.
2) We have the kitchen delivered and installed (using IKEA’s assembly service).
3) We move later with our dishwasher and install it ourselves.

Do you think this is a sensible plan, or is a precise kitchen installation only possible if the dishwasher is already on site at that time? What about the electrical and water connections? Will we likely need to uninstall or modify much for this, or can it possibly be planned during the kitchen installation?

Thanks for any tips or opinions!

Best regards,
Felix

Everything is possible, unless some complete idiots from Rhenus or the like are supposed to install the kitchen. IKEA does not do the installation themselves. There are both good and disastrous companies that handle this.
