Good morning everyone, I am currently planning a custom closet system and am particularly interested in the IKEA Platsa series. To review my ideas virtually in advance, I am wondering: is there a free IKEA Platsa planner available online for browser use?

I am aware that IKEA offers various planning tools, but so far I have not been able to find a specific web application focused on or including the Platsa series. I would really appreciate it if someone from the forum could confirm whether such a free tool exists and how it performs in practice— for example, compared to the classic software, if that exists.

This matches my research. Currently, IKEA does not offer a dedicated PLATSA planner as a web-based application. The only official and free tool with planning options for various furniture series is the IKEA Home Planner software, which must be downloaded.

I actually find the idea of designing your cabinet directly in the browser really convenient! Unfortunately, I haven’t found an official online version either – IKEA seems to prefer users to download the software and put in a bit more effort. 😄

But who knows, maybe that will be added in the future, since web apps definitely make sense nowadays. Until then, the only options are to use the software or get creative with sketches on paper. Stay positive – I’m sure some clever developer will create a compact web tool soon!
