stephonikea18 Sep 2014 21:56Hello,
has anyone here had experience with the new Metod hanging rail for kitchen cabinets? I have a Faktum kitchen and will be moving soon. I would like to take it with me and am wondering if this could make things easier. Specifically, if I could mount my Faktum wall cabinets on the Metod hanging rail...
Does anyone know and can provide an answer?
Thank you in advance

in the end, installing the brackets on the carcass would be more time-consuming than hanging the cabinets individually as before, assuming Ikea would provide them in the required quantity.

Eumeltier22 Sep 2014 12:15Hello,
Here is what I did:
Since the cabinets sit flush against the tile backsplash at the bottom anyway, I needed some space at the top. I also have difficult walls (internal insulation), so I needed long screws to ensure everything holds securely. Additionally, in some spots where I would have needed to drill, there were utility lines running...
I bought standard mounting rails from the hardware store. I placed the upper cabinets on the floor and drilled holes in the rails at the correct points. Then, I put hex bolts in from the back and tightened nuts on the front.
I anchored the rails to the wall using wall plugs, then hung the upper cabinets on the protruding threaded bolts. I aligned them with washers as usual – perfect.
Regards,
Martin

Am I correct in understanding that the hanging rails are not sold individually?
The solution with the rail (Martin) sounds good.
Have a nice day and best regards,
Steph
