ᐅ Is it beneficial to prepare for photovoltaic systems during new construction?

Hello

I am about to buy a new build from a developer.

Does it make sense to prepare for a photovoltaic system so that it can be installed later?

What exactly is needed for the preparation? Just an empty conduit?

The 10 kWp are irrelevant for trade tax since they are well below the specified exemption limit.

Please be careful not to confuse this with the 24,500 euro exemption limit for trade tax.

As the operator of a photovoltaic system that is intended to be declared for income tax purposes, with an installed capacity of over 10 kilowatts—measured by installed, not capped, capacity—you are still required to be a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK).

Consequently, you are generally also liable to pay contributions to the IHK. The only exception is if the trade income does not exceed 5,200 euros per year, according to § 3 Abs. 3 S. 3 IHKG.

Although this limit is usually not exceeded, membership in the IHK remains obligatory.

We commissioned it but the electrician said it wasn’t necessary…

It’s an extra 30 euros for us, but having it is better than needing it later, right? 😀

I would still recommend installing a separate conduit for grounding/equipotential bonding. The equipotential bonding should maintain some distance from the DC cables and the rest of the house electrical system.

Ah, thanks for this thread. It fits perfectly, I’ll check right away if anything has happened on my end.

Which solar installer did you choose, and would you recommend them?

Hey, we worked with GT Solar. The price seemed reasonable, and they were familiar with the roofer from the general contractor and subcontracted the installation to them. Overall, there were no problems at all, and they were much faster than we needed.

We’ve had the solar panels on the roof since the end of 2020, but we have no idea if they actually work. They look good, though. However, due to the winter and the extremely slow bricklayers, almost nothing happened for a long time. I’m hoping the house connections will be installed at the beginning of May, and then GT Solar can set up the inverter so we can start feeding electricity into the grid. I’d really like to be able to use the solar power during the screed installation phase.

We had our system installed several years ago and have been very satisfied so far.

The photovoltaic forum (just google it) has been offering photovoltaic systems with a very good price/performance ratio for some time now. You could possibly inquire there as well.

I contacted them a few weeks ago, but unfortunately received no response or result.
Apparently overloaded!?
