ᐅ Is it beneficial to prepare for photovoltaic systems during new construction?

Hello
I am about to buy a new build from a developer.
Does it make sense to prepare for a photovoltaic system so that it can be installed later?
What exactly is needed for the preparation? Just an empty conduit?

For this reason alone, there is already a separation between the routing for the satellite (SAT) system and the photovoltaic system.
Regarding the satellite dish, consider possibly laying power, LAN, and SAT cables (including grounding with 16mm² (about 5 AWG)) for a weather station?

Hello, our photovoltaic system was installed the day before yesterday and yesterday. Do yourself a favor and size the conduit pipes accordingly.
We only planned a single M40 conduit for the system, and now we have the dilemma that 9 cables need to be routed through it.
Currently, the cables are stuck somewhere inside the conduit; they won’t move forward or backward.
On Monday, the electrician will come back with two people and cable lubricant to try to pull the cables through. If that doesn’t work, the cable routing will have to run along the exterior wall of the house, which would obviously be an eyesore.
Therefore, my advice is to use one M60 conduit per roof side.

Actually, for the satellite dish, you need two separate conduits: one for the antenna cables and one for the 16mm² (0.025 in²) lightning protection conductor. Otherwise, the required separation distance according to DIN VDE standards is not maintained. This is often done incorrectly in practice.Similar topics
