Hello,

Is it also possible, when using a gas boiler, to achieve the "alternative" energy through heat recovery in a central ventilation system, or does it have to be solar energy?

Thank you

This way, we were even able to build according to the KfW55 standard, provided that the appropriate insulation was used, of course.

It’s doable. You should talk to the developer.

Is it advisable to avoid this for cost reasons? I mean, solar thermal is only for water heating, and I have read that a person uses about 1000 liters (264 gallons) of water per year – is it worth it? Or would it be better to choose solar later on, considering potentially higher energy prices? The central system with heat recovery also costs something.

Just one experience. Move-in on 11.9. Heating system briefing on 20.10. I hadn’t touched the heating before that. The service technician said on 20.10, oh, the hot water is still off. Has the solar system managed that on its own? Yes, let’s say, we were always able to take warm showers. That’s all. Carsten

Hi,
personally, I find a ventilation system with heat recovery more practical.
It's an investment that can pay off throughout the entire year.
Solar energy can only be used on sunny days and also requires a high initial investment.

Is gas being used for heating?
