Hello,

I need a wardrobe that I want/have to place around a corner due to the room size. I am planning to combine two Pax frames with sliding doors (1.50 m (5 feet)) with a corner element.

Now my questions:

1. Is this possible?

2. Can the corner element be opened without any problems?

3. Are there visible gaps between the sliding door units and the corner element?

4. Has anyone done this before and can share photos?

I don’t understand the question:

One corner unit and 2 x 75 cm (30 inches) cabinets on each side?

With sliding doors of 150 cm (59 inches)?

That won’t work because the corner cabinet also has an internal depth of around 50 cm (20 inches).

So I would estimate a total length of about 250 cm (98 inches).
Sliding doors of 250 cm (98 inches) are unfortunately no longer available. Therefore, I would have to use the 300 cm (118 inches) sliding doors instead.
So I would have:

1 corner unit
2 cabinets of 75 cm (30 inches)
1 sliding door of 300 cm (118 inches)

Since the doors are 150 cm (59 inches) wide and with the 75 cm (30 inches) cabinet plus the 50 cm (20 inches) corner part I already have 125 cm (49 inches), I would have 25 cm (10 inches) to move the door.

Or the short answer:
NO, it doesn’t work

Okay, I think you are referring to the old corner cabinet design.

The currently available corner cabinet has its own door at a 45° angle and is a separate unit. Not like before, when it was just an add-on to the 100cm (39 inches) cabinet.

So, the question is whether I can attach a sliding door cabinet to a corner unit without gaps forming or the corner unit’s door no longer opening...

Hello, theoretically speaking, it should work if there is enough space.

Let’s take a look at page 9 of the assembly manual, picture 3. The concern is that the sliding doors or their finishing strips might protrude so far that they collide with the door of the corner unit (Ee). If you imagine sliding the Ee diagonally out of the corner, the adjacent cabinets move slightly to the side. You can do this until the sliding doors and the doors of the Ee are aligned at the same level. Then everything should work. Or is there a flaw in this reasoning somewhere?

If a cabinet with standard hinged doors is placed next to it, it works fine. The doors open outward, so there is only about 1.5 cm (0.6 inches) gap between the edge of the door and the cabinet frame. This means you don’t need to pull the Ee cabinet out so far that the door sticks out noticeably.
