After I wrote yesterday, I continued searching online and also found information on the IKEA websites in Scandinavia.
And I think their kitchens look very, very similar to the current one 😀

Now the only question is when it will really start in Germany. Whether this fall or only next year. Unfortunately, I haven’t found any information on that.

I do need a new kitchen this fall, though. Is it possible to order items from abroad (e.g., Sweden) through IKEA Germany? 😕
Because I would prefer the Metod system, as there will likely be spare parts available for some time.

Is it already decided when the Metod will be available in Sweden?
Since Norway is not part of the EU, importing it will probably be quite difficult...

No, neither from Norway nor from Austria...

So plan well and take a large van for an extended shopping weekend in Denmark 😱

Unfortunately, traveling there is not an option... the distance between southern Germany and Denmark is too many kilometers (miles) for me, meaning too high costs. 🙁

Today, I sent an email to IKEA asking when the new system will be available in Germany. Let’s see if I get a response....

I'm curious to see whether the date in June 2014 mentioned by someone in another forum will be confirmed.
