LuposHello everyone,
I’m currently trying to set up my Besta shelving unit. After getting the middle door (60x64 cm [24x25 inches]) from the VEGBY series, I’m now wondering how to properly install the corresponding shelf. No matter how I do it, it doesn’t look quite right. I’ve attached a photo for reference. The shelf does not align evenly with the bottom edge of the door. If I install it one hole higher, the door sticks out by about 2 cm (0.8 inches).
Maybe someone has a tip or even better, a photo of their own shelving unit with a door installed like this?
Regards,
Lupos

Since this question also relates to the installation of the doors, I’m posting it here as well...
How did you prevent the screws of the door handles from damaging the surface of the cabinet? I don’t find this handle solution ideal because the screws extend beyond the white plastic stoppers and thus damage the cabinet surface when closing. 🙁

How did you manage to prevent the door handle screws from damaging the shelf surface? I don’t like this handle solution because the screws protrude beyond the white plastic stoppers and therefore scratch the shelf surface when closing. 🙁
RegardsHello,
Either don’t install handles, or position the handles a bit higher so they clear the surface.
But I think I may have misunderstood the problem. Could you post a picture? Just to be sure I understand correctly.
Thanks.

Hello,
sorry, I’ve been very busy, so I’m only now able to respond in detail.
I have taken some pictures for better understanding and attached them below.
Additionally, for about a week now, I’ve noticed very narrow gaps, just a few millimeters wide, between the shelves and the side panel on the left side of the unit. These gaps don’t seem to close even after adjusting the entire unit or leveling the feet. I’ve also attached a photo of this issue.
I would appreciate it if you could share photos of your similar shelf setups. At the moment, I’m not very satisfied with the cabinet or shelving unit.
Best regards
