ᐅ Induction cooktop directly next to a tall cabinet?

Hello,

I am still working with the planner. Ideally, I would like to have the countertop and directly next to it the tall cabinet with the oven.

Now the software always gives a warning. Is my idea really that unreasonable?

Just upload a picture of it, and we can all discuss the best way to solve your cooktop issue.

That’s a good idea. Maybe then completely different ideas will emerge, and in the end, the kitchen will look very different...

Sorry for the late response, but I haven’t been receiving any notifications when someone replies.

The problem is the heating, which isn’t turned on anyway, but I need at least 25cm (10 inches) of space from the wall if I ever have to access it.

The refrigerator is not an issue: I would like the Blomberg KND 9861, which has 312 liters (11 cubic feet) of cooling capacity. We need that since there are 5 people in the household. However, it is 70cm (28 inches) wide.

Unfortunately, Ikea doesn’t have a 15cm (6 inches) pull-out spice cabinet.

Cooktop: an 80cm (31.5 inches) cabinet with a 60cm (24 inches) induction cooktop.

The single cabinet in the room should be an island with an 80cm (31.5 inches) cabinet and a countertop of 1m by 80cm (39 by 31.5 inches). But I can’t get that to work with the design software.

Hello,
have you enabled notifications for new replies in your personal area?

My initial thoughts on the plan.
Why not reduce the third wall instead of the island?
Is the island really meant to be placed where it is drawn?
Make the island a bit wider and install the cooktop there.
A small draining area doesn’t look very nice. Is it even necessary?
Built-in refrigerator and freezer can also be separate units. For example, a refrigerator from Liebherr with 308 liters (11 cubic feet).
A chimney hood squeezed between cabinets is a matter of taste.
A wall oven installed at a high level is not necessary at any cost.
Swap the dishwasher and the sink. There is no countertop next to the cooktop, and water splashes onto it.
Remove the radiator and store it in the basement.

Hey,
thank you very much for your reply.

I activated the automatic response, but I didn’t receive your post, and it wasn’t in the spam folder either.

This is due to the circumstances. That means:

Dishwasher: I would have to reroute the connections for the sink as well. Although I have a prefabricated house, I didn’t want to move everything around. I already need to create a new hole for the extractor hood.

Draining area: We are a household of five, and sometimes dishes are washed by hand. Where else should the wet dishes be temporarily stored?

Between the stove and the oven, I placed a small cabinet. I have now decided to go with a 60cm (24 inches) refrigerator.

The island was meant to replace the dining table, which we use as a countertop and storage area. I had mentioned that the base cabinets were actually intended to have a countertop of 100cm by 80cm (length/depth) installed on top.

We don’t have much countertop space. On the left, against the window wall, the microwave sits, and on the right, the coffee machine and toaster. That doesn’t leave much workspace on the window-side countertop.

I have also thought about adding a corner cabinet on the left and extending the countertop a little further. I’ll have to take a closer look at that.

Heating: I’m slowly leaning toward removing it. The kitchen is well heated by the other rooms, and in 18 years it has never been switched on.

Extractor hood: It’s basically there just for the visual aspect. I actually want to install a different one, an angled hood.

Refrigerator: I think Liebherr models are a bit more expensive than built-in refrigerators. Somehow I have to set a limit for myself.

To avoid potentially wasting energy unnecessarily: Are you sure it should still be a Faktum kitchen, considering it will be discontinued next year?

Yes, I think so.

There are several reasons supporting this, including the fact that our kitchen is slowly falling apart and no longer looks good. Plus, there are still several months until something new is installed.
