ᐅ IKEA PAX + Komplement shelf insert incompatible with sliding doors?

I connected two Pax units, each measuring 75x35x236cm (30x14x93 inches), and inserted a KOMPLEMENT shelf insert (25x35x236cm / 10x14x93 inches) into each unit, so that they are positioned on the right and left sides of the "double-walled middle connection." Finally, I wanted to install the Pax AULI sliding doors, but I found that the lower aluminum guide rail has a cut-out for the spot where the two wardrobes are joined, but not for the vertically standing shelf units. See photo (sorry, I’m not quite sure how image uploads work here): https://www.hausbau-forum.de/images/db4228f3c17260d15a5ce097a84c167b.jpg

The service hotline suspects that this combination simply won’t work and that I’ll need to switch to hinged doors. However, that would mean driving 100km (62 miles) to Ikea to return everything. Due to space constraints, I would prefer sliding doors. Would it be possible to saw part of the aluminum rail off? (The service hotline said this wouldn’t be allowed because of the warranty.) Or perhaps the shelf units could be sanded down slightly at the base to create space for the rail.

Does anyone have experience with this issue? Many thanks in advance for any helpful advice!

I would cut out the rail. I wouldn't worry about the warranty. I think it is unlikely that the rail will break. The statutory warranty cannot generally be excluded because of this.

I would slightly sand down the inserts at the bottom so that the rail underneath is concealed. If there’s ever an issue with the rail system, at least I have the warranty for that. The inserts are the lesser of two evils.
