Hello everyone, I am currently planning to install Ikea Metod kitchen cabinets in my new apartment. The walls are all made of solid concrete, and I am wondering about the safest way to fasten the cabinets. My main concern is that the brackets and anchors will support the weight long-term without breaking or coming loose. Which anchors or screws do you recommend, and are there specific techniques to ensure the most secure attachment to concrete walls? I am also interested in tips for preparing the wall surface and distributing the load. Thanks in advance for your help!
Really exciting that you’re mounting Ikea Metod cabinets on concrete! This will be super stable! Also, remember to blow out the drill holes from time to time while drilling, to prevent dust from reducing the holding power of the anchors.
And very important: Don’t be discouraged by the effort – this will result in a solid installation that you’ll enjoy for a long time. The Metod kitchens are very flexible, and once they’re installed, you’ll feel great in your cooking area!
Good luck, and feel free to share how it goes!

It’s really exciting that you’re installing your Ikea Metod cabinets on concrete walls! 😃 It’s important to always prioritize quality: use high-quality metal expansion anchors and the right drill and drill bit. Be patient while drilling to avoid small cracks that could cause problems later on.
Tip: After drilling and removing the dust, you can also apply some construction adhesive or epoxy resin into the holes for extra security and better grip. This will make sure your kitchen is firmly secured, guaranteed! 💪 Good luck and have fun with the installation!
