Fliegerklaexchen24 Jan 2016 23:03Dear IKEA fans,
I am currently finalizing the plans for our new IKEA kitchen. Now we are trying to decide on the right refrigerator.
Here is my question:
We will use a 200cm (79 inch) tall METOD cabinet with the following divisions:
120cm (47 inch) door for the refrigerator
2 × 20cm (8 inch) drawers
1 × 40cm (16 inch) drawer
What is the maximum niche height I can or should allow for the refrigerator? The SIEMENS model (KI42FAD30), which we like best, requires a niche height of 122cm (48 inch). Will this refrigerator fit? Or do we need to plan for a lower niche height of 102.5cm (40 inch)?
Thanks in advance for your advice! 🙂
Best regards,
Fliegerklaexchen

that no longer fits in there. You either have to choose a smaller refrigerator or omit a drawer, or replace one drawer measuring 20cm by 10cm (8 inches by 4 inches) and make a 130cm (51 inches) door out of a 120cm (47 inches) plus 10cm (4 inches) front.
