The one-kilogram (2.2 pounds) tolerance will probably still be acceptable, but I assume you want to use the microphone as well, which will make it even heavier. Kallax is made only of cardboard, hardboard ("back panel material"), and an outer frame of chipboard. At first, it will hold, maybe even for a long time, but possibly not forever.
I wouldn’t do it, especially if there is a risk that a child could be injured by it falling.

If the thing is standing on the floor, then put a board underneath so the feet don’t press through the surface, and that’s it.

But the Kallax only supports 20 kg (44 lbs), and the microwave weighs 21 kg (46 lbs) empty. Or does the weight distribute better with an additional board? Although the Metod you mentioned is, of course, cheaper than a Kallax. I hadn’t considered that before.

I think the load can be significantly higher if the unit is placed on the floor with something on top of it.
The microwave definitely has four small feet with an estimated area of 4 cm² (0.6 in²) each. Since pressure is defined as p = F/A, the pressure will be quite high. I wouldn’t want to test whether a thin hardboard panel can withstand that. You can also calculate it yourself and check with manufacturers.
