Hello,

So far, the kitchen assembly has gone completely smoothly, but now I’m a bit puzzled:

I have installed a Faktum tall cabinet designed to house the oven and microwave. Below it, there are two drawers planned.

However, for this cabinet, the back panel is recessed about 5cm (2 inches), which causes the drawer slides to hit the back of the cabinet, and the drawers themselves remain about 5mm (0.2 inches) ajar and don’t fully close.

Did I do something wrong? I have double-checked the serial numbers of the drawers used against the packing list from the links mentioned above, and they appear to be correct.

Thanks,

Thanks, Ikea expert.
I meant the dampers so the drawers don’t slam shut, and the drawers are from Austria.

Well, if the drawers come from Vorarlberg, the slides won’t look like in the picture above, and the dampers will face outward to the back.

The rails definitely look different; they are newer than the ones above.
Okay, so no back panel on the drawers!

Thanks

You're right, the rails definitely look different; they are newer than the upper ones.
Thanks

No, they are older.

Austria, Italy, and Switzerland still use the old drawer design. The only drawer still made like that in Germany is the oven drawer located below the oven in a base cabinet.

That is the difference.

Austria, Italy, and Switzerland still have the old-style drawers. The only drawer still built like this in Germany is the oven drawer located below the oven in a base cabinet.

You forgot one drawer. The plinth drawer is also still exclusively produced by the Austrian company Blum.
