TheCipher8 Feb 2010 13:06Hello,
So far, the kitchen assembly has gone completely smoothly, but now I’m a bit puzzled:
I have installed a Faktum tall cabinet designed to house the oven and microwave. Below it, there are two drawers planned.
However, for this cabinet, the back panel is recessed about 5cm (2 inches), which causes the drawer slides to hit the back of the cabinet, and the drawers themselves remain about 5mm (0.2 inches) ajar and don’t fully close.
Did I do something wrong? I have double-checked the serial numbers of the drawers used against the packing list from the links mentioned above, and they appear to be correct.
Thanks,
TheCipher

5 mm (0.2 inches) ??? I think the problem lies elsewhere. Take the drawer out and check the rail. There is a kind of tilt lever on the rail near the end that allows the drawer to close slowly. If the lever is already at the back, it is not set correctly. Then...
Pull out the rail
Push the lever forward until it tilts forward.
Slide the rail in again, and the lever will automatically move back and may be braked by the damper.

Hello everyone!
I bought the Ikea kitchen, and while assembling it, I keep running into one problem after another!
So: with the FA 705 oven cabinet, my drawer slides are also too long, and the instructions don’t explain how to install them differently.
Also, I received one short and one long drawer from the furniture store—is that correct?
Thanks,
Best regards,

IKEA-Experte6 Jun 2012 14:31FA 705 does not have any drawers. If you click on "Item number, packaging dimensions & weight" under product information on the website, you can see everything that should be included. However, it is also possible that something has been customized to better suit your needs.
Please note that for the tall cabinet intended for built-in appliances, the back panel at the bottom is omitted if drawers are to be installed. You need to look very closely at the diagrams in the assembly instructions, as small details often make a difference.

I don’t understand the question about the dampers. Which dampers? At the back? Or are the drawers from Austria / Italy / Switzerland / France / Poland / Czech Republic..?
