bine_23208 Jan 2010 14:32We are having difficulties assembling Besta. We have it as a drawer cabinet with the Inreda full-extension drawers. In 50% of the drawers, there is already scratching when inserting them into the slides. Can anyone help us? Everything is level, and the slides are installed correctly.
Same here! We had this problem at IKEA today, and according to the quality manager there, it simply can't be. They gave us a new drawer and that was supposed to be it... but nothing is fixed – the new one rubs as well. So 3 out of 3 drawers rub, and to the point that everything gets scratched. I was really hoping someone here might know something!?!
Hello,
I bought 8 full-extension drawers, and all of them showed the same problem described here. This is because the grooves where the bottom panel is inserted are not milled cleanly. The wood used for the full-extension drawers is generally of very poor quality. After assembling the drawers, strike the side panels of the full extension from both the left and right sides at the same time with your hand. The drawer should then open and close smoothly without scraping or grinding.

JustBen8125 Mar 2010 09:13I found a solution by not using both parts for the rail on one side. The part with the telescopic function can be attached on its own. The omitted part apparently only serves as a spacer and as an extension for using the rear holes.

JustBen8126 Apr 2010 07:09You can also leave out the middle screw that holds the rails together – it’s usually the one that causes friction. (Tighten all the other screws properly.) The rails are already connected by the front screw anyway. By the way, at the IKEA in Berlin-Tempelhof, at least one cabinet in the display had suspicious scratches on the full extension drawer slides^^

Maverick185427 Apr 2010 07:34This is simply because the screws on the rail and the side panel are not tightened properly. They need to be flush with the rail. So, just check the screws again and the problem should be resolved. If not, then check the screws on the drawer once more. Maybe they are also not fully tightened.
