Hello dear fans, we are in the final stages of planning and would really like to fit the Siemens refrigerator KI31RSD30 into a Metod tall cabinet. Ideally, there should be drawers underneath and storage space above. The dimensions are:
Appliance height (mm)
1021 (40.2 inches)
Appliance width (mm)
558 (22 inches)
Appliance depth (mm)
545 (21.5 inches)
Do you think this is possible?
Also, it says "Furniture door attachment: Fixed mounted." Does this mean I only need a Metod front panel to mount on it? What size should that be?

Looking forward to your help!!

Hello
It definitely works.
You can also install drawers underneath. How tall should the tall cabinet be?
You need a 60cm (24 inch) wide and 120cm (47 inch) high door. It might also be possible with a 100cm (39 inch) high door.
This door will be fitted directly onto the refrigerator door, so you won’t need any hinges from Ikea.

Many thanks in advance! The tall cabinet may be 220cm (87 inches) high. What do you think, can I fit it underneath?

I have now contacted Siemens, but they only sent me a product datasheet that is also available online. I still don’t know whether I should buy a 1m or 1.2m (4 feet) front… can anyone help?

According to the dimension drawing, you can cover the refrigerator door hinge with a 100 cm (39 inch) door. However, it will be necessary for the appliance to extend slightly into the drawer below or to be covered from above by the door above it.
