Hello everyone, I’m planning to furnish my small attic room with an Ikea PAX system but face some challenges due to the sloped ceiling and limited floor space. My main question is: How can Ikea PAX wardrobes be used most effectively in a small attic to maximize the available height without the sloped ceiling significantly reducing storage capacity? Are there any smart installation methods or modifications that are especially helpful for these kinds of spatial conditions? I look forward to your tips and experiences!
Super interesting topic! I also had a small attic space with quite steep sloping ceilings and installed Pax there. My advice: definitely use combination options with sliding doors, because regular doors often scrape against the slope. I also built partitions with adjustable shelves that you can set to different heights – this helps a lot to make good use of low areas.
One more thing: use small inserts like baskets or boxes to fully utilize the depth of the cabinets – this makes the storage space much more efficient. Good luck, you can do it!

If you want to make good use of the sloping ceilings, install the PAX carcasses without the top panel and back panel. This way, you can build your own upper closure and accommodate windows or skylights. L-shaped or U-shaped arrangements with connecting pieces also help to make optimal use of the space.
