I bought the Besta TV stand.
120cm (47 inches) wide / 38cm (15 inches) deep with two shelves and a plywood back panel.
I want to mount this TV stand on the wall under the LCD instead of placing it on the floor.
Has anyone done this before and can share some tips or ideas?
I was thinking about using large brackets from the hardware store or maybe some kind of corner reinforcements or similar...
Looking forward to your support... many thanks.
Best regards,
Alex

Four brackets go: top right inside, top left inside, and the other two on the center panel. The other two are attached from underneath to the bottom panel.
That should be sufficient, but check if the screws hold well in the side panels. You don’t want the screws to be fixed only in 3mm (1/8 inch) thick wood... But that makes sense, right?
There are different colors available for the caps. If your color is not available, use white caps and paint over them.

There are angle brackets for kitchen cabinets that are screwed from the inside onto the side panel. Using six of them should be sufficient. Four pieces: top right inside, top left inside, and the other two on the middle section. The other two are attached from underneath to the bottom panel.
That should be enough, but check if the screws hold well in the side panels. You don’t want the screws only gripping in 3mm (0.12 inches) thick wood… But that makes sense, right?
There are different color covers available. If your color isn’t listed, use white caps and paint over them.
Regards, Maverick1854 The middle part is cardboard covered with 3mm (0.12 inches) wood… nothing will hold there.
I got two large brackets sized 200/150/5 and will try my luck with those… let’s go!

Maverick185420 Nov 2009 21:07There is also the option to attach the brackets to the ceiling panel from the inside. BUT... you should keep in mind that all the weight will rest on the ceiling panel. Therefore, it might be necessary to add one or two fasteners from below to the floor slab for stabilization or load relief.
If you use brackets from the hardware store, the above still applies, of course...
