Hello everyone,

Does anyone have experience with Nolte furniture? Specifically, the Horizont 8000 wardrobe system?

We have received a quote for our dressing room/wardrobe space and are actually close to accepting the offer.

What we especially like compared to Ikea Pax and similar options is that the wardrobes would be 2.42m (7 ft 11 in) tall, and the remaining space up to the ceiling would be covered with a panel, as well as a small gap between the end of the wardrobe wall and the room wall. So it would be like a built-in wardrobe.

In terms of price, it’s a huge (positive) difference compared to a carpenter’s offer. But that’s probably not because the carpenter uses solid wood or something similar. :/

Regarding kitchens, Nolte represents solid mid-range quality, so I believe the wardrobes are likely similar. That would be perfectly fine for us; I just don’t want to buy something flimsy.

Best regards

Hi, I don’t have experience with cabinet furniture, but I do have experience with a double bed frame. In terms of quality, there is nothing to criticize. Based on this experience, I would personally choose the cabinet furniture without hesitation.

I once worked for the Nolte furniture company. Nolte has its own particleboard factory. However, I never had cabinets directly from Nolte furniture but from Express furniture. I have always been satisfied with them, but they are a different quality level.

May I ask how much the cabinet costs?

We have the mentioned furniture in our walk-in closet. I would say it’s good, sturdy furniture; so far, nothing has sagged.
I remember the screw connections being solid—better than those on our Poco cabinet in the guest room.

For us, the deciding factors were the height and width, which I couldn’t achieve with Pax.

Would you like me to take photos of the fittings, or what concerns do you have?

Thank you all for the feedback.

Basically, I have no concerns, just wanted to know if there are any drawbacks to the furniture.

The total cost is about €3,400.

Included are:
2x 1.20m (4 feet) cabinets, 2.42m (8 feet) high, 60cm (24 inches) deep
1x 0.40m (16 inches) cabinet
1x 0.30m (12 inches) cabinet
1x 1.20m (4 feet) cabinet, 2.42m (8 feet) high, 46cm (18 inches) deep
2x 0.60m (24 inches) cabinets
1x 1.20m (4 feet) dresser, 1m (3 feet) high, with drawers

Part of it is mirrored, and everything includes delivery, assembly, and the coverings.

So roughly 5.5m (18 feet) of cabinets + 1.2m (4 feet) dresser.

We find this more than fair; the carpenter wanted more than twice as much for something comparable.

The price is also good.
