Hello,
I am currently having a carpenter install my kitchen.
He installed the pull-out range hood at the front inside the cabinet so that the closed range hood aligns flush with the cabinet door. This means there is a gap at the back up to the wall, and to turn on the light, I have to pull out the range hood every time.
In the kitchen of an acquaintance, the hood is mounted at the back inside the cabinet and, for aesthetic reasons, is always pulled out slightly forward to the height of the door. The hood only starts operating when fully extended, but this way at least the control panel is accessible.
What is the correct way to do this?
Thank you in advance for your help!!!!

take a look at the assembly instructions on pages 34 and 35, it is explained quite clearly there. Install it flush with the back edge of the cabinet carcass (making sure not to block the ventilation), then adjust the stops so that the extractor sits flush with the front when fully inserted.
