I am urgently looking for a wall cabinet door sized 70cm by 40cm (28 inches by 16 inches), preferably as a glass display door.

I would also be very grateful for any tips on where I can find this door since the light yellow doors have not been available at IKEA for the past 4 to 5 years. :p

unfortunately, no. There is this rule of thumb that you can reorder fronts up to 2 years after they are phased out. I’ve already experienced that popular fronts in common sizes, like 60cm x 70cm (24 x 28 inches) or 40cm x 70cm (16 x 28 inches), sold out within half a year. Unfortunately.

Basically, in the end, you can only try to negotiate with the customer. For example, modifying the cabinet. If there were only doors before, you could switch to drawer fronts, etc., because those are still available. Sometimes that’s even the most elegant solution rather than no front at all. Or you might install a "highlight" by mixing in a different front, though that really has to fit. Of course, it looks odd if one cabinet door in a kitchen line looks different. But maybe having the wall cabinets in a different color/front could be an alternative—even a modern one. 🙂

Thank you, it’s good to know that after more than two years, there’s no hope for that.
After my move, I replaced it with a different front. If I need something again someday, one of the fronts will probably have to go to make room for something new.
