Hello, I have the above-mentioned cabinet and finally installed the drawer. I want to point out that you cannot use it if the siphon for the dishwasher is inside the cabinet – frustratingly bad purchase, but nobody at IKEA mentioned this either ;-((( Now I had to skip the not-so-deep inner drawer and can’t even fully use the purchased waste sorting system because the siphon is simply so large that it takes up half of the cabinet. Is this normal?
Now to my question: unfortunately, my movers attached the panel on top as a drawer front first. Therefore, the holes in the panel no longer match the clips that are used to fix it as a top panel on the sink cabinet. I couldn’t find anything online and the drilling template seems to be lost. Does anyone have one to spare?

Nayla_106826 Jun 2012 12:23Hello,
the siphon is the standard IKEA model, the Atlant. If you want to install a pull-out for waste sorting, it is installed completely incorrectly. The trap needs to be turned toward the wall at the back and pushed back as far as possible. You can see from your picture that it should actually work that way. Then the bins fit comfortably underneath, and usually the drawer does too. However, you can only put flat items in there that are no taller than the drawer itself, since it sits directly below the drain. My bad—although I have an IKEA kitchen, I don’t have a sink, so maybe someone here can share a photo of how it should look when done right. Your professional will probably have to come back and install it properly. Basically, it’s quite simple: instead of having it toward the front as it is now, move it to the back left, against the wall on the opposite side. It’s actually convenient that your connections are on the right side and not in the middle. Was that somewhat clear…?
Best regards
Na.
PS: It almost looks like the pipe has been shortened; if that’s the case, you’ll probably need a new siphon. 10 Euro.

IKEA-Experte27 Jun 2012 00:10It might be helpful to insert a 90° elbow pipe into the drain pipe inside the wall. Perhaps you’d prefer to try it yourself rather than involve a professional who is only interested in their pipes and not your drawers. With the siphon, you can easily rotate both the inlet and outlet in any position.

andiii_986 Jul 2012 21:21Hello,
we also had a few issues with this, partly because the water connections were installed so awkwardly on the wall that we completely omitted the back panel of the cabinet and placed the crossbar (metal) in holes different from those specified in the instructions.
Instead of 3 large trash bins, we now have 1 large and 2 small ones. It doesn’t matter though, since dishwasher accessories (powder, salt, rinse aid) can fit behind the 2 smaller bins.
What I mean is – besides the sink and the trap, the connections also play an important role...
