Hello,
I only see Tandem mentioned, not Tandembox plus. The Tandembox plus is no longer available. It was replaced by the Tandembox Antaro. Maximera is similar to the Tandembox Antaro but, unlike the RATIONELL drawers, has a completely different box height.
The cabinet slides, as with the RATIONELL, have a nominal length of 530 mm (21 inches), which does not exist as a Blum standard. The holes for mounting the slides are also in different positions.
Tip-On does not work with the BLUMOTION slides, and for the new Tip-On with soft-close, special slides are also required. Until now, this was only available for the Legrabox; according to Blum’s website, it will soon be available for the Tandembox as well.
For Maximera, there are only the UTRUSTA push-to-open fittings or the electric Blum Servodrives. I believe Robiffm has used the UTRUSTA push-to-open fittings with drawers, and that is supposed to work.

IKEA-Experte15 Aug 2016 22:13Hello,
let’s see what cpa will report about their attempts.
You can install tandem boxes with a maximum depth of 550 mm (22 inches). Since each drawer operates independently, you can combine them with the MAXIMERA drawers as inner drawers.
There are Tip-On and Tip-On BLUMOTION versions. Without BLUMOTION, you push the drawer to open it, and it pops out; when closing, you need to push it back until it locks in place. With BLUMOTION, you just give it a firm push, and it closes automatically.
The low MAXIMERA correspond to height N. For medium and tall heights, the same side panels are used. This is not the case for the tandem boxes. In total height, medium corresponds to B, and tall is between C and D, or something like that.

Fabs_928416 Aug 2016 11:10@ Ikea-Expert Thank you for the quick and detailed reply.
I have a few more questions:
- Is Legrabox significantly better than Tandembox Antaro? Due to the price, I would lean towards Tandembox, but if Legrabox is truly better, I might reconsider. In my understanding, the main technical difference is the more extensive adjustment options of the Legrabox.
- Are the drill holes in the IKEA cabinet carcass also suitable for the Tandembox Antaro Tip-on Blumotion system (550mm (21.7 inches))?
- If not, is there a template available for the correct positioning? Where can I order it?
Kind regards,
Fabian

IKEA-Experte16 Aug 2016 12:00The Legrabox also has vertical inner sidewalls, with the drawer sides being only 13 mm (0.5 inches) thick. This results in higher load capacity, and the cabinet runners operate even more smoothly.
The drilling holes in the cabinet do not align correctly. For this, there is the Blum mounting jig 65.1051.02. There are also drilling templates available for assembling the drawers. Most likely, the dealer who sells the drawers can order the drilling templates for you. Beschläge-online also rents out the assembly aids.

Fabs_928428 Aug 2016 21:39Hello.
The time to place the order is approaching and I have more and more questions...
I have decided on the Blum Tandembox Antaro, and now my questions are:
1) How deep does the countertop need to be if it is to align exactly with the drawer front?
2) Are the 550mm (22 inch) rails the correct size, or do they need to be 500mm (20 inch)? At Ikea, they are shorter (I think 530mm (21 inch)).
3) What are the dimensions of the back panel and the base? In the Antaro description it says: back panel width = cabinet internal width (LW) minus 87mm (3.4 inch); base width = LW minus 75mm (3 inch) and base depth = nominal length (NL) minus 24mm (1 inch). What does this specifically mean for the Metod cabinets?
I hope you can help me.
