Hello,
We have an apartment in a multi-family building that is currently under construction. Today, I noticed that a wall right next to a door has probably cracked while routing the electrical wiring for the light switch. There is an angled/vertical crack, partly almost 1cm (0.4 inches) wide, running completely through the wall, so that on the side near the door, a wedge-shaped section of the wall about 80cm (31.5 inches) high and 20cm (8 inches) wide is essentially hanging free in the air.
Should I be seriously concerned about this and follow up on it, or is this something that occurs frequently and is routinely fixed? (If so, how?)
As a layperson, I am worried that it might just be covered up and that this wedge could eventually collapse entirely.
Thank you,
Dirk

Go to the site manager and show him the damage. He will know how to fix it 😉
