Hello everyone,
I recently noticed that one of the doors on my IKEA PAX wardrobe has been damaged—there is a small dent and some paint has chipped off in one spot. Since I want to continue using the wardrobe, I would like to know: Does IKEA offer spare parts specifically for damaged PAX wardrobe doors? If so, what is the replacement process like, and is it possible to order individual door fronts or at least repair kits without having to replace the entire wardrobe?
I appreciate any experiences and advice, as I’m worried that otherwise it might be quite complicated and expensive. Thanks in advance for your help!

I once had a damaged door on my Pax wardrobe, and IKEA actually offered me the option to purchase just the door front as a replacement!
You just need to read the exact product number from the inside of the door, and then the process went smoothly. I didn’t try the repair kits, but replacing the door was very easy.
I think it’s great that IKEA offers spare parts – this way, you don’t have to replace the entire wardrobe, which is much more sustainable! Good luck with the repair! 🙂

Especially with the PAX system, it’s very encouraging that IKEA provides replacement parts for many years, because the system is modular. This allows you to replace individual components like doors, handles, hinges, and interior fittings without having to buy everything new.
If someone has an older door that is no longer directly available from IKEA, it’s also worth checking online exchange platforms or classifieds where other users offer spare parts.
This saves money and reduces unnecessary waste. A good option when it comes to sustainability and cost-effectiveness.

Are there replacement parts from IKEA specifically for damaged PAX wardrobe doors? To add to the previous discussion: Yes, IKEA does offer replacement parts, but availability may vary depending on the model and year of manufacture.
Tip: If you want to avoid damaging the door to find the product number, the assembly manual included with the wardrobe—usually found inside the cabinet—is often helpful. It contains relevant names and measurements.
If that is no longer available, the IKEA customer service hotline can often assist with pictures and measurements.
Good luck with the replacement!
